Sometimes people want to volunteer their services with VeAhavta at our facility in Sri Lanka but they don’t have the financial means to pay for their travel and/or living expenses. If this describes you, then you may still be able to volunteer in Sri Lanka through our “Sponsor a Volunteer” program.

Here’s how the program works. First, you complete a volunteer application and submit it to VeAhavta for review. Then, if your application is approved, you download and complete our financial aid application. If VeAhavta determines that you are qualified for financial aid, then your travel expenses will be paid from contributions that are made to the Sponsor a Volunteer program, provided that funds are available.

Most volunteers who take advantage of this program have friends or family members contribute on-line to the Sponsor a Volunteer program so as to ensure that funds will be available for their trip.
